Don't know much about silver bars except there are a lot of good fakes out there. Don't know where yours came from but you want to check the top, bottom and all 4 sides with a magnet. Any pull anywhere and it's a fake.

Hello SusanMN, thanks for the reply. This was a gift. Purchased out west in Edmonton, Alberta, some years back (from a certified gold & silver bullion dealer)...and yes, there is no magnetism at all.
