Crazy thing is, for a tradesman to be paid correctly these days, work must be dangerous? Whether above or below ground.
Standard pay for a laborer is $27 per hr. Can you imagine making that wage whilst in your 20s. I started at $7 per hr in early/mid 80s.

I thought about joining the carpenters union, but I wanted to stay here, in this small town.
I became self-employed. Talk about varying wages! I think I should have joined the union.
