stupid jackholes at BBC won't allow anything but the very last episode to be available. It's a great series, so it pisses me off that they won't let people watch it.

It is him, his name is Mackinzie Crook. He is a fellow detectorist, and also the writer/producer/star of the show.

Know what else burns my butt about the BBC? They sell the series through amazon.uk in the PAL format, but will not not release it for sale in the NTSC (American format). Bloody wankers

Heh... agreed...
I have never been to... or part of any detector club..
I have been invited to be a few times over the years...
Just never did it...
Calls for commitment...well sorta...
And I have this thing with splitting my finds with complete strangers.
NOW... If I knew them... would be ok "partnership"...
But no more than 4 people...
25% of a ring.... heh
Anyway... I would go for the "group of ten" or whatever...
If my split was only 10%... would be fine....
IF you found the Arc Of the Convenient... or Holy Grail... Templars Treassssss yeah yeah you know where I am going with this... heh

Great show Jeff, Funny as hell. The comical stuff that happened, the eccentric land owners, and problems with the wife is almost a mirror image of my life back in the late '80s and early '90s when I was hunting hardcore. Thanks for that post! Totally enjoyed it!

I loved when the one guy dug a foot for a "glint of Gold" New coin & Quit.
Sold his Detector, Then had to buy a toy :laughing7:

Was almost there myself, only I didn't find a gold coin. or better yet, anything super valuable, just metal detecting junk as my wife called it!
