Only once have it heard thunder while snowing. I was living in Waco, Texas. I believe it was New Years Eve of 1981. I looked out and saw the snow coming down. Later, that night I heard the thunder and could see flashes of lightening through the curtains on the window. The next morning, I took a 'yard stick', a 3 foot ruler, and measured from 11" to 13" in the back yard.
