Funny, I had the a/c on this afternoon in San Antonio and was thinking the exact same thing. Heat, humidity, sweating carrying the groceries in and wishing it was still winter and not the start of summer...

If we just had a way to mix the two weather extremes I think we'd ALL be happy!

We are do for rain every other day with maybe a little snow thrown in, Boston has already beat the all time record for snow fall. More, really? That's just adding insult to injury! I haven't been out detecting since very early Dec. and I've about had it! Somebody stick me with a pin I'm done!!!!

And meanwhile, in Minnesota, it has been warm enough that the ticks have hatched. Really some crazy weather this winter, but at least this year I am not complaining

Woke up Sunday morning to a brisk 5 degrees and woke up Monday morning to 4 inches of fresh powder . I still have 15 inches of snow on my lawn and the first bare spot of ground I saw this afternoon had so many robins on it they had to stand on one foot to all fit . So ya winter is never going to let go

I got out for an hour or two today, still, 70% of the place I was at was still covered in at least 6 inches of snow.

Hi cjon455; BOSTON has 110.9" so far. It has been the ALL TIME Record Breaker. we are still buried. No digging in Boston yet. Even the beaches are blocked off. They dumped all the plowed snow Directly on the beaches. That's the first time in history they have ever done that. Enjoy your weather ok. PEACE:RONB :laughing7:

Only got about 8 inches today!
Since every other storm dumped no less than a foot or so, we got off pretty good for a change! lol

Yeah it's been(and still is) a tough one this year, still looking for spring

Talk about your extremes...southwest Florida 80 degrees today! School's out for Spring Break & the beaches are packed...I know where I'll be next Monday morning when the sun comes up & the beaches are deserted!

I'm in Mountain Home, Idaho. It's about 40 miles east of Boise. Our elevation is about 3200 feet. I've seen snow here a lot later than this. We had 79 degrees last Friday, and 78 yesterday, Tuesday. I guess it's global warming. lol I had the a/c on yesterday afternoon and the heating on this morning. It was 31 this morning. We've had very little rain or snow fall this year. Very odd. Gonna try to plant the garden these next couple or three days. I've got some plants in containers already ready to transplant. The trees are all in full bloom and leafing out. Most of the time if they do that this early, they get frost bit! I guess it gonna be different this year.
Yeah, I guess Al Gore is right about global warming. I'm sure the Bostonians are agreeing that he's right. Gee, I can't stand that nutcase!

And here on the east coast, there was STILL frost in the ground at an open field yesterday in some spots.

I know exactly how you feel.
But it seems winters last stand has happened or I hope so.
Looking forward to doing some detecting on the beach next week.
