I never would buy a 'real' pinpointer because it just seemed like a whole lotta money for something my eyes could do. Finally broke down and did it because I am kinda lazy. Now after using it on four hunts I feel like Charlton Heston,..... "From my cold dead hands!"

isnt just amazing what a good pinpointer can do to make digging more fun. I went the route of the cheapies, and they were so useless I hardly even took them with. Then I got the Propointer and what a world of difference. Will go back home if I forget it, cause I won't hunt without it.

Ditto, I will not hunt without mine. I used the Garrett for years and then recently bought the Nokta pointer and have been just as happy but with the knowledge that it has alarms if i lose it, sensitivity levels and waterproof. Still have my Garrett as a backup.

I'm a newbie to detecting, and I got a bundle from Bart @ BBH that included this baby. I can easily say that I won't detect without it now. I'm glad I didn't start without it!

Having trouble with mine. Been having to ground balance the pin pointer or it sounds off. Ugh!

I recently got a carrot too. In love with it. Simplifies things and makes digging faster and less tedious.

Just reiterating what others have said. With a pinpointer you significantly reduce the time from target discovery to actual target recovery, which means you can cover a lot more territory in the same amount of time.

I retired my screw driver and got the Carrot from Big Boys Hobbies. Since it's water proof I can use it at swim areas where metal detecting isn't allowed till after Labor Day. Mask, snorkel and Carrot, Better than spending time in a dress barn with the ole lady.:laughing7:

I'd turn around too, if I forgot mine. It's not that I can't hunt without it...I don't want to hunt without it.

I've had mine for almost 2 months now. IT works spot on everytime. I used to use the Whites bullseye ll - that thing was so bad I quit taking it with me. After I saw that Garrett was coming out with the new waterproof model- I jumped on it and Im glad I did. I wont leave home without it. The Garrett Carrot rocks!!
