If your curiosity got the better of you, you should at least make sure you have a tank of air with you. You would get so far down, and run out of oxygen. By the time you figured out something was wrong, it would be too late, and you would take the gravity elevator to the bottom. Thats how the first victims of the Oak Island money pit died.
