Was just sitting in a coffee shop las week and started a conversation with a veteran Canadian War soldier. After a long conversation, he clearly understood i was an avid collector...So he took my card. I did'nt think much of it at the time...
Several days went by and yesterday, i received a phone call, it was the man fron the shop...
He invited me to his place to show me is war artifacts, he had a lot of souvenirs, badges, canteen, documents....This was such an experience, to hear him talk about it and connecting....That man still walks and moove by himself, just to see a man in that good a shape is impressive...93 year old veteran....
I have a lot of respect for one who gave is life for is country....
Now after seing some crazy artefacts......the man just decided to make me a gift....something that comes from Germany and was used during the time he was at war !!!
Here it is.....you have to see it to feel it...imagine a wounded man on this !!!
