I found a medal it says, United States Army for service, on one side. The other side says, Indian Wars. It has a number on bottom edge. no. 965
Does any one know how I can find who it belongs to. attach.jpg

Cool find. It had a ribbon attached at the top. This award was established in 1907 and issued retroactively to veterans of Indian War Campaigns. Lot of info on the internet that will help you if you search it up. This side is the obverse, could you post a pic of the reverse side?
