If you have I have a way to repair it and make it stronger, alot stronger. First go to Napa and buy Napa Part #727613. It is black shrink tubing. Not the normal shrink tubing, as it has glue on the inside and when shrunk down it glues itself in place. Cut a length of tubing that will cover both joints on the shaft at least an inch past each joint. Shrink the tube in place and be careful not to get the shaft itself to hot, to avoid melting the shaft. I used a heat gun on low heat setting. When it has cooled it is ready to go hunting. I repaired my pinpointer this way and it does not effect the operation of the pinpointer. Hope this helps someone. HH Dennis in Idaho

Hey Dennis,
Thanks for the tip. I worry about breaking mine but haven't done so yet. I may use your idea just to re-inforce the wand. Someone else (can't remember who) sleeved theirs in pvc pipe and an end cap. Said it really made it strong, mo denigration of signal.
BTW, I use a tape measure holster for mine, works good. They can be had for around $4.

I just used electrical tape on mine and was careful not to use it to pry things up. It worked pretty well until I was able to get a new one. Your idea is much better and a lot cheaper than buying a new one!!!! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the tip. I have 2 of them, one broke where the belt clip is (%$&&*(%$$

I found the same thing Lafitte did, found that a leather measuring tape holder that goes on my belt holds it perfectly, even has a hole in bottom for the shat to fit in. I use a rubberband as a loop holder that fits in a hole that was part of the tape holder, works perfectly
