I live in NW PA and am surrounded by both state and national forest. I know that in PA it is not even worth it to MD the forest areas. What grinds my gears is that they can tear up all the forest and plug in oil and gas wells and the roads that lead to them but they fron on anyone actual recreating in the forest. It would be nice to get into some pf the places that have off the grid camping spots and old cabins that time has forgot but nope..... UGH lol

Its been a while since I read the PA laws but you can detect but anything you find has to be removed with basically a stick. The only permissible digging tools are screwdrivers, ice picks, and other similar narrow pronged devices, it also dose not define what is considered "Historic"
