Newbie Polk County FL area

I am just started metal detecting and I was wondering if anybody has any advice for me? Do you know any good areas in Polk County FL. My metal detector is not the best its a old one I got when I was young. I plan on getting the Garrett Ace 250 but that will have to wait for now. Thank you very much.

You could try the Strawberry Festival fairgrounds in Plant City. Probably lots of coins and stuff lost there over the years.
