taking a metal detector to china/metal detecting in china.

Hi, I am planning a trip to china. I want to take my metal detector to hunt beaches etc. Has any th'ers hunted in China or taken a metal detector to China or had a metal detector confiscated by chinese security. Has anyone communicated with the chinese embassy regarding the same questions. thanks either respond to my thread or pm me.....happy new year
