Deepest, Oldest, and Most Preserved Wooden Shipwreck Salvage - "Coconut Wreck"

Came across this old story a short time ago. If you like stories of history, shipwrecks, and long lost treasure this has all of it.

Summary: While looking for the long lost Liberty Bell 7 space capsule a salvage team happens upon the sunken remains of a 200-year-old wooden cargo ship. After successfully recovering the Liberty Bell 7 capsule the team decides to work on exploring and salvaging the old wooden ship.

Because of its tremendous depth the shipwreck has remained undisturbed and preserved to a nearly unbelievable level. The preservation is so good that silk, fabric, and even newspaper is intact and legible. The salvage team calls the unknown wreck "The Coconut" because its hull is full of coconuts. The crew finds a shipment of silk, the packaging stamped with ink so fresh it could still be read "tis not to be sold" it said.

The salvage team soon discovers that The Coconut likely had a sinister past. After recovering many Silver Pieces of Eight the team finds a box. As they open the box they discover it to be full of gold coins wrapped in newspaper. Written on the newspaper is an advertisement for slaves. The salvage team realizes that this ship may have been trafficking slaves and the coins now in their possession were likely used in the buying and selling of human cargo.

Besides saving coins and cargo the salvage team also recovered the ship's navigational equipment. The equipment used by the doomed ship's crew was still functional even after 200 years under the water.

So what do you think of the Coconut wreck? :D
