I just recently moved to Rapid City SD. I have been browsing this site and found an older post with a link to minecache.com. I followed it and most of the claims near Rochford SD are closed. Does anyone know if this is truly a reputable site? I would like to do some prospecting in the black hills but don't want to jump any claims. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Minecache.com is a site that shows claims on Google Earth with blm numbers and lat. Lon. Coords. It has a 7 day free trial and was just trying to determine if it's worth paying for.

Check with the County Clerk's office. They know what claims are current and are usually a lot more helpful than the BLM. In My Opinion, No, it is not worth the money for an online tool that is never right.
