Re: Your next metal detecting milestone...

The thought of any pre-1900 coin, especially silver, is all it takes. I hold no hopes or aspirations for gold coins. Heck - I go at lunchtime and a clad quarter is all it takes to make my day.

    I'm easy.
America was founded by tough hell-raisers. Rugged citizens who evaded taxes, spoke strongly against tyranny, grew tobacco, brewed beer, distilled spirits, and smuggled weapons. And it will be saved by those same types of citizens.

Yep silver coins are for sure my no.1 choice because thats always possible. I don't hang my hopes on spanish treasure or handfuls of jewelry cause its not realistic!!! My next find may be the best- you never know!!!!

I like to dig, that means anything. But, I do have a passion for Civil War Relics, that is my prime objective.

silver coins make me happy! anything silver new or old, although the older the better. a close second would be jewelry, but i dont find much of it unless im hunting at the beach.

Re: Your next metal detecting milestone...

My first goal is to pay off my detector within 2 years of hunting with clad alone. I have already found 12 rings this year sold 2. I will agree with some of the others...I will take what I can get but the high coin count appeals to me!

I know exactly what you mean.. But if I gave her the description, about 115lbs. 67" long, lean, smooth and silky, I'd get slapped.
I better leave it at a capped draped bust half. Do you know what I mean?
