back in 05, i looked into alf while i was doing the A Treasures Trove
book hunt by mike stadther, i didnt find much. a Larry Wood has a
blog with some info, maybe the search link will work

What's in a Name ?
Alf Bolin did not Exist as far as the Papers go.
You need to Go Nation wide to Find Alfred & all are around the Turn of the Century in the Wrong States.

I didn't Research more. but Perhaps research William Bolin. He seemed to be feared
or just research Bolin

when i checked into alf, i used dif spell, was thinking maybe
it was spelled how it sounded, not actual spelling
I/E/A/Y..........bolan, boylen, bollen, bolyn
was trying to remember where i 1st heard of alf b., might have
been one of those old web pgs that had T stories leads
some more newspapers
