Need help ! Want to pay someone to train my father on his metal detector.

Good morning my father has retired and wanted to pick up metal detecting but he does not know how to properly use it. It's been a long while since I lived near Tampa but, I believe there are metal detecting clubs in the area that he might want to contact.

Welcome from Kansas. You did not specify what type of machine your father has. However, I AM SURE there are plenty of "HOW TO" videos on YouTube and doesn't cost you a penny.

Have you thought about detecting yourself? The two of you going out and learning not only how his detector works but also how to retrieve targets seems like a great father and son or daughter activity

If you lived in Kansas I'd do it free. Don't pay anyone to do that rather, look for a local metal detecting club. I would think you could find help there and your dad would have continuous assistance from more than one experience source.
