Bullet-probe, I've read your posts. Sounds like you're into treasure legeneds of all the various old yarns. Like your post @ "the dungeons of intramuros treasur" and so forth.

If you REALLY want to get into a bunch more, here's how: Just get back-issues of any of the treasure magazines of the late 1960s, through the 1970's. Each issue was PACKED FULL of them.

You know, like "lost mines", "stolen military payroll", "stagecoach robbery loots", etc... blah blah. And each one was iron clad and bullet-proof true. All they had to do was: Throw in a faded newspaper clipping, and an artist's depiction of a miner posed next to his burro, and .... by-golly, it MUST be true. Right ? Add in a few " ... it has been said that..." etc... They all made for fun reading :)

A buddy of mine even sent in one of those stories. All made up, of course. But he got the $100 publication fee, and we each had a good laugh wondering if anyone's actually out there searching for it ?

Well you got it down to a concise narrow location now. So all that's left is to go to "north chicago", and start digging all metal signals your detector gets . Hmmm, how many square miles of suburban sprawl, paved roads, farm land, etc..... is that ? Should be easy. :3barsgold:
