Beach hunting questions?

I'm going to the beach on vacation. I have a mxt pro with the stock coil and I also have a 6x10 dd coil. Which would be the better coil for beach hunting. Are they both water proof? Also any tips for a first timer on sand and salt water would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Biggest coil you own, in the dry sand normal settings, in the WET sand, you will have to turn your sensitivity down and deal with the constant falsing due to the high conductivity of the saltwater. TAKE A SAND SCOOP!!!!!! Good Luck!
