Of an area by the river in town... IMG_20160713_012339_431.jpg compared to a photo if the same spot from years ago, as you can see there were steps and a path that are not there anymore, would this be a good place to check?

I would check the hilly area first. People love to sit at the top of hills and check out the scenery. And kids love to roll down hills and lose all their pocket change! Hit the hill first!

You can try, but I would estimate it has been regraded. But there's always the old saying,"Nothing ventured, nothing gained." _DSC0047-1.jpg

Might be a good place to do some magnet fishing too, boojababy. That close to a bridge is certainly suggestive.

It's flooded there right now so I'll have to wait.

What is magnet fishing?

That's where you tie a piece of metal to a long cord and throw it out into the river. Then you drag it back and see if you catch any magnets! They're not very tasty and are a pain to clean. Also, they stick to the skillet. And never mind what some other folks here tell you because they will try to pull your leg. :laughing7:

I surely thought someone would have told you what magnet fishing really is by now. You tie a magnet to a heavy line and throw it into the water to see what you can find. It can be fun and it can also be a pain when the magnet hangs up on something and you have to retrieve it.

Never tried it before, where in the river is a good place, calm water or over rocks?

I like to look around old bridge sites. The bridge may or may not be still there.

The bridge was redone recently when they put in the roundabout.
