That I can go to to get Circa Dates on some of my buckle Finds?
Being in North Georgia I mostly Find Horse Gear types , Many Iron types , & a Few older Suspender Buckles , Nothing before 1850 that I know of .

I need to invest in a reference Book but I don't find enough Buckles to justify the purchase but will buy one if anybody knows a good one the get (one showing buckle type up to say 1940's or so).
Thanks a Ton.

Hello Davers,

I found this book online, it covers 1250-1800's, I'm interested in the 1720 - 1790's period.

Buckles (1250-1800) by Ross Whitehead - FREE download online.

Enjoy,
