I have in the budget for one G-Y8 or two G-40 Which one would you get? This will be fishing from a john boat in a muddy river. Looking fo cannnballs and fragments. There are no large naval cannonballs here. 12 lbs cannonballs and Parrot shells form the union side ...I know someone will say 2 G-Y8 and I will say I have a wife and would like to keep her ;-)

I do a lot of magnet fishing with my best buddy, check out our youtube channel if you want to see some footage. We have quite a few magnets and rigs with smaller magnets but I can tell you our favourite is a very cheap (20-30€) 7.5cm / 3 inches magnet with an eyehook. The ones you listed are very overpriced compared to what I can buy, check out this one on US Amazon, that's about what we use:
