Okay, I have some pennies that were stored in 2 coffee cans. I had started rolling them several years back, now they had sat in flood waters (water in cans), I've rinsed as good as I could, but they are the yucky greenish color. Will the Coinstar machine accept them? Plus I have other coinage that have been found while detecting...hope to include these too.

Thanks!

You could sell them on eBay as 'Vintage coins recovered from a flood,' then throw in, 'Dates and mintmark's unknown, possible key dates within.'

Otherwise, I don't believe that the Coinstar cares what color the pennies are.

Took them to Wally World's CoinStar, $26.86. None rejected, so that was good. Should of seen my fingers when I finished...YUCK!
