Hello!
I am thinking about getting the Fisher F44. Does anyone have any experience using it? I would be interested to know if:
1. How weatherproof it is (can I only use in the rain, or can I submerge it a foot or 2 in water on the beach)?
2. If I get the 11 inch DD coil, which says it is good for high mineralization, can I use that on the beach?

I am looking for an all-around machine on a budget. I will be looking for silver coins and other coins, but would also like to be able to take it to the beach, hence the thought about getting the 11 inch DD coil.

Thank you everyone!!!!

:)

It's not a bad detector, however it's NOT waterproof.
As far as I know fisher doesn't make any submersible detectors.
And big coils are not always better coils.

Three White's, one Fisher and a Minelab.....I'm beginning to wonder if I am a metal detectorist .....or a collector of metal detectors?

Fisher does make waterproof detectors. Check out the website. Happy hunting!

Great little detector for the price, lots of great features and very light, I bought one for my GF. Don't worry about getting caught in the rain too" th (49).jpeg
