I found this Robin Hood shotgun headstamp a couple days ago, only the third one I've ever found. I have found zillions of headstamps over the years, so I'm wondering if these Robin Hood ones are a little more rare.

Anybody collect headstamps might know? ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1478306181.134701.jpg

I've found hundreds of headstamps, but never one of those!

That's a good one.... it will date from 1906 to 1919 from what I found online...

Thanks for the response, I'm actually getting interested in these shotgun shells. Might as well, I dig enough of them.

The info I came across says the "Robin Hood Powder Co" existed from 1898-1906, then the name changed to "Robin Hood Ammunition Co" until the company was bought out in 1919.

I guess there are people who collect these things, and some can be hard to find. Definitely going to double check my pile of shells.

Never seen that one nice ,thought I dug all of those

Thanks Joe. Doesn't bother me to dig them as much knowing that some of them are worth keeping!

Yeah I think I may have mis read the info I was looking at.... Even better that it's older though!
