Here's a pic of one of my favorite token finds. Found it in a park in MN in the late 70's...

And the ironic part is I found it in a 1864 church's front lawn 60 miles, across Lake Ponchatrain, from New Orleans.

This is the best one I have ever found.... Riflemen's Cafe and Oyster Saloon....It's on the token catalog site but I still haven't found any info on the place.... As of now it's the only one known in existence.... I'd love to know more about it

The Unicorn Man token was found in AL, but I have seen it posted on TN before from another area. What little I have found out about it was that it maybe a Ringeling Brothers Circus person, but that is [/ATTACH] second hand information with no other references. What do you think about it. Thanks for looking.

This token was found in a grassy island adjacent the curb. I imagine that the item was dropped as the passenger exited the car.
It is an early brass credit card. Many of the big department stores would issue these credit tokens to their qualifying customers so they could charge their purchases. This token/charge card was issued by The John Wanamaker Department Store of Philadelphia.

Some really nice tokens posted here.

I don't have any trade tokens as all of them get sold to collector #1 and collector #2.
Number one is the author of a trade token catalog for Manitoba and I have contributed at least a dozen R10's (previously unknown) and a few R9 and 8's to his book.
Anything that is already in the book goes to collector #2.

I did find a nice love token over a month ago and felt the world needs to see M.A. McLain's handiwork......

Made from a 6 pence? (2.3 grams) I often find early Victorian silver that mostly date from 1843 or 1845, so it probably from that period.

Hammered into a perfect, larger circle (22mm) as a regular 6 pence is 20 mm. I like how he then notched a design on the outer rim.
The plow dragged it but luckily didn't damaged the front.

    Happy Thanksgiving America!
