I prefer the old fashioned hand-written ones. I don't like to put stuff like that on my computer. Besides, I know of a few people that would LOVE to have my detectin' journal... :D

I keep two types of journals. The first one is in Word and I just type in the date, what number detecting trip that it is and then a short story of what I found and who went with me etc. I then go into excel and any coins I find I put into a spreadsheet so that I know where I found the "good" stuff.

I also import pictures, funny stories, comics etc pertaining to MDing and then I print it out each time I fill a page up. This is some what labor intensive but as I said I like to keep track of places I have been and want to go back to.

I have thought about buying a special journal program but have not. Is the program you mentioned any good? What features do you like about it?
