I agree. Cool find. I've never seen a St. Christoper mounted that way. Like someone took a round one, and mounted it in a bezel like fashion. I'm going to stick my neck out and say art deco that seems like 1890s to 1920's-ish. Not old enough to be pre-industrial revolution. (of course that's a given that you probably weren't musing, doh!)
