I'm using Koss R/80 with my Safari which are available at Amazon for about $40.
No individual volume but not missed. Similar to ur 40 used on minelabs
60 ohm. Good headphones good price

would that set-up work with my Whites DFX?

As long as that machine just has the regular headphone jack. And you can either get the 1/4" plug in or the 1/8" plug. But there's no lag at all and the certainly give you much more freedom

I like Gray Ghost originals or nugget busters. Plenty loud and in spite of the above concerns about hearing damage (which I've never heard of till now) they can be turned to whatever volume level suits the wearer including nearly silent
