On second thought I'd build an attachment for my skid steer that would dig and convey dirt through a series of shaker pans and all objects would sort into different bins and dirt would fall back into the tracks I'm driving on

White's MXT if you don't beach hunt is all that's needed, it's as deep as any other detector. Spend extra money on a few coils and your good to go. HH

That's a real question.

Yup, Uncovering more history every hunt is my goal. You can always buy artifacts, but do they have the same meaning as something you found and were the first to hold for 250 years?

As for modern detector.........probably the CTX 3030
