Kids jar? Possibly. But maybe just not a coin collector. Will never know. I do have the name of the people who lived there a long, long time ago and will see if there is any "history" on them.

Vferrrari, you are right. And thanks AARC. First silver cache for me ever. We also went on a wild goose chase today, 1790's road in the woods, guaranteed never hunted. Just iron and shotgun bases. Sometimes you win, sometimes you just go out and scare the wildlife.

I always scare the wildlife, but that's a personal problem.

Well, this is my second cache. The first was about 1990. Consisted of several of the early American coppers. Most were toasted.

Thank you all. If was not expected. I really expected aluminum. Darryl heard that little crunch of glass, and the fun started. Back in the winter I was expecting aluminum and found a brass Rev War belt plate as previously stated in another thread, so I dig all cans. Fortunately, I have done that all along.

That is awesome!!! Congrats on so many "firsts" and so much silver!!!
Banner for sure!
Your "note to self" comment made me laugh, been there, done that...now if i could just remember where!

The three leafed plants freaked me out, hope it wasn't poison ivy.

Still all and all a good video!

Thanks msbeepbeep. I saw some of the shiny three leaf plants while out yesterday. I always wear long pants and gloves, and if I wash fairly soon after being out I generally don't get poison ivy.

Thanks Casper-2. I also dig the aluminum and some iron, depending where I am. On a park (don't like parks much), I ignore the iron, but in an early site, I do dig it. Rev War belt plate (see earlier post), came in as a solid but heavy aluminum signal.
