    Snake Season is coming!

Just wanted to share this photo of a big rattlesnake trapped in an old well, about 20 feet down. I was standing right next to the well, extracting a date nail from an old railroad tie, when I looked down and saw this. When the rains come in a few weeks, these monsters will be all over the place.

Poor thing. I hope it's not actually trapped in there.

Yet it was, Im afraid. It must have fallen in while going after a rodent or something. I was thinking about trying to throw something in so it could crawl out, but there was nothing long enough around. It was way down there. This was a couple weeks ago, it could still be alive down there.

You have to save that snake. Put down a round rope long enough for it to climb. Snakes are good tasting and taste like chicken and are free food.

I have an ex-son in law I'll donate to throw in.... Maybe I'll drop a $100.00 bill down in front of him. He'll go after it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please help the snake out if you can...?

I always thought a snake would NOT cross a jute rope and it was a way of protecting yourself if sleeping out. Is this an old wives tale?

Cute little bugger. You'll have to climb down in there and get him out. I never saw many when I lived out there. Once a tiny baby rattler came up on our back porch to sun itself. Call me weird but, I like snakes. They serve a purpose in ridding us of rodents. Seems cruel to some but, nature has a balance. Thanks for the picture.

You don't have to do anything, because if he didn't want to be there he wouldn't be there. And I would like to point out that snakes do not taste like chicken, they taste like snake.
    Just like Texas in 1880.

Yes, inquiring minds want to know if the taste thing is from experience.
