Just can't seem to be able to chuck it out....probably nothing but I have to ask. Came from an 1820 property but all my finds only go as far back as the early 20th century. Found close by to a ww1 cavalry bridle rosette so maybe horsw tack related? Disc with a stud in the center and the back had a post that got bent over when extracted.

It looks like it could be an old pewter button. Is that a shank in the last photo? If so, it is probably late 1700's-early 1800's. Neat find!

Maybe an old furniture tack, or off of a saddle. What is it made out of?
