The Bronx is God's Country.
That young lifeguard just proved it.
Congratulations on getting your wallet back.

A couple of years ago one morning someone stole my bag on the same beach. It only contained my lunch, a cheap phone and my detecting permit. Had to make a report at the police station because my metal detecting permit was involved. Can’t get a new one unless I provide a police report that it was stolen. Afterwards that day I’m out on the same beach detecting and a young guy comes up to me asking me questions about metal detecting permits. How odd. People don’t ask questions about permits. He asked me how much they are worth. Even odder! No doubt this guy took the bag. I did ask him if he happened to find the bag I lost, but of course he didn’t. Which is the answer you would expect from a petty thief So I was lucky to get my wallet back.
