I'm not sure if the beaches in Gulf Shores are detector friendly or not. You could ask the local authorities. I'm wanting to say they are, but I'm not 100% sure. Have a great time in Gulf Shores. The crowds should be down now, making it more enjoyable. My parents moved to Lillian, Alabama about 25 miles from Gulf Shores back in the 90's. They lived in Perdido Bay in Spanish Cove. This is a real pretty area. We as Southerner's used to refer to this area as "The Redneck Riviera". Lol Have a great time and be safe. Here's hoping you are able to find a nice stretch to hunt and go back home with some treasure.
