My job kept me away from the scale first thing monday mornings for a bit, but not I'm back on schedule. My weigh-in at the first was 213, now its at 202 so a total of 11 pounds lost. slower going than hoped for, but slow progress is still progress!

Wow, it's March now and I guess you guys are serious about this, haha! Good job. Y'all do know you're gonna have to buy new wardrobes pretty soon, right? And this is an inspirational thread for a change here on Tnet, I must say.

I'm 5'-10", or was, that was when I was younger.

A bit over 4 years ago I weighed 218 lbs, not huge but overweight. And then along comes gut surgery due to cancer concerns and now I have only 6" of colon remaining and weigh in at 140 lbs - I lost 78 lbs due to the surgery and have be very careful in gaseous expulsions :(

They ain't always gas....

To anyone here considering a gastric by-pass - it comes with complications.

Damn talk about a change.. Hope you are good to go now.

I'm fine I guess, don't really care about much anymore. Have to be careful about what I eat. I'm a heck of a lot weaker than before. Better than the alternative for certain. Seems I had a tropical rain forest growing in my gut, colonoscopy after colonoscopy which tended to point to a future of cancer and bye-bye. The last colonoscopies were of minimal outcrops. On my last scopy, they put me off to 5 years for my next one. That by itself said that all is well. I was going to work till I died, but the surgery changed my mind and I retired at 65.

I'm okay, plenty peace in my world now - I don't think I have ever been happier. Peace is such a rare thing.
