If this rain keeps up, I will be crappie fishing from the front door

We have had rain pretty steady and pretty hard at times for a week now. Wednesday one of our neighbors said that he had recorded over 4 1/2 inches then and this is Friday. I actually live on a high spot and am thankful for that but this water has to go somewhere and I feel for the people there. Even if the rain was to stop Saturday night, there is so much water standing around that you can't do much. I don't have a wet suit nor do I want to make a mess at my permissions. My new HF coil is supposed to be delivered today, water permitting, so we shall see. On the other hand, at least it isn't all ice, boy do we hate the ice. If and when this all drains off, it should be easier digging etc for a while, this ground is saturated. And some of you guys are still waiting for the ground to thaw. The pond behind the house is now a lake and we have county roads under water. I think I can launch the boat if I have to LOL.

Same here, it has been going since monday and is supposed to last until sunday. At least its not freezing rain.

We have had on and off rain and snow for the last 2 weeks, but mostly rain. I have to have a diversionary ditch at the tree line dug out to divert the runoff as well as spring water. I already made arrangements but can't do much until it stops raining and dries up a little. Probably sometimes in March. We live in a valley.

We're getting rain, ice, or snow falling from the skies every other day, but lucky the temps have been high and the stuff melts.
The animals don't seem to be freaking out, so i guess the ark building is on hold for now.

I have been watching to see if the local Bass club was going to hold a tournament out back. I just went down our highway, it is terrible now. All of the old patches are gone and are now deeper and bigger, the 18 wheelers just suck them out and make the holes worse every time we get very much rain. The tire shops and front end shops love it.

I feel your pain here in Mississippi. Went this morning to a farm permission. Couldn't GB in a lot of places. And we're supposed to get 3 to 4 more inches starting Saturday night into Sunday. Bummer. Hope we get back out soon. Good luck.

I’m the same way buddy. I could stand on my back door and fish the creek behind me today. I’m sick of this rain already. Seems us here in Arkansas just can’t beat the rain.

Hang in there guys,it seems everyone has had some flooding and crunched up roads. The farmers won’t be getting into the fields early this spring around here,unless they change to hydroponics!

I have a new HF coil and every time I even think about stepping outside to just swing it over the water I mean flooded ground, the bottom falls out or it starts lightening again. we got your hail and high winds etc but it is supposed to slack off tomorrow for a day or so and start back up again. Yeah, a rice crop might be a good idea. our highway is riddled now with huge holes and with the rain filling them up so quickly, you don't see them until it is too late. we stepped outside earlier this morning when it quit for a little bit and had about 30-40 buzzards up above us circling in the drafts. they moved off with the passing storm. pretty cool to see

I wanna get out after the rain but I’m getting rid of my machine for another one so I don’t think this is a good time to swing it since it’s so muddy out here

yep, a lot of people only know how to catch them in the spring but they eat all year long and are eating right now to get fatter for the spawn.
