I believe it's a setting on your device you are taking the pics with.

When you look at the pic info, it shows 240px × 320px, 131.72 KB. That's about what your pic looks like. What size file are you uploading?

Are you uploading directly from your iphone or ipad photo gallery or saving them into some other file type? Sending them from your iphone to a desktop?
