ROFL. I have bought a few machines over the years and just plain didn't like them and sold them. The XP and the Tesoros I have always liked the best. Until a year and a half ago it was strictly the Tesoros. Sometimes it's a retelling of the Goldlocks story, too hot, too cold, too....many green teeth? :tongue3:

Great reading guys and sounds like it was alot of fun too. I have hunted that red clay in Bassett / Martinsville a couple years ago and your read made it seem like yesterday... HH

GAP Metal, no, but maybe he should have gotten mine. Inspector, is that a good remembrance or a nightmare?

It was fun but with my grandsons, but weren't in good areas so didn't find anything to brag about. I may still have some of that red soil in the crevises of my Tesoro

A banner is always just one swing away. And great permissions to swing on.

Tippy hasn't been to my house for decades for tea and cookies, so he's out of the looks contest for now.

Thank Professor. Looks like you have more machines than I do!

I did get an ID on the glass piece. It's from a Drake's Log Cabin bitters bottle. I knew I had seen the type before and I actually have an intact one I purchased a couple years ago.

I know this post is fairly old, but i just found it and you guys did a great job! This is exactly the style hunting i do most of the time and you were 40 minutes from my house..... Anyway, I am really curious as to which coil you were using on the Vaquero? It seems to me that the newest 11x8DD from Tesoro handles that areas bad dirt the best on the Tejon/Vaquero. Thanks.

It indeed was the 11 x 8 DD on the Vaquero. I haven't been out much this summer, too hot and rainy. However, things are changing now. Also I sold my Equinox and the Vaquero. I now have the Cibola and the XP Deus with the laser scope on it (HF elliptical coil.)
