Only been swinging for a few months now but the bug has bitten me and I go every chance I get. A good friend of mine got us a new permission to hunt an old (mid 18’s) home site. It was work getting back there as we had to do a LOT of cutting just to find it. The chimney still being there made locating the exact spot pretty easy though. Didn’t find a lot but like the title says, I get excited if it’s anything other than a nail or a pull tab. A 28’ Buffalo (my first), a 44 wheat were the only coins I found. Anybody have a guess on the decorative copper piece? View attachment 1597875 View attachment 1597881 View attachment 1597882

First the wheatie bug, then Buffalo bug, next silver and you’ll never been the same. Enjoy the journey and hold on tight. Congratulations on that beautiful Buffalo
