Interesting stuff Terry,

The percentage if all that that is alluvial gold - findable by small timers - amateur or pro - is probably low.

Now get Minelab and First Texas to tell us their gold detector sales by country and we’s have somentin

I have helped to facilitate two gold prospecting trips to China, as a consultant to a "private" Chinese company, looking to set up an operation similar to my old prospecting school and adventure travel company, Arizona Gold Adventures. They have AMAZING placer mining areas, that for the most part have never seen metal detectors. Meteorite hunting has also become popular there. :skullflag:

Hi , In 1871 at place called Tsin Chin Shan a chinese gold prospector called Ah Chang found fourth largest gold nugget in the world The Presious 1717 ozs . Thats 22 miles from me. So what can you teach a culture that has been gold prospecting for 6000 years? TP

If I was in the business, I think I would devote my time and energy and money to gold prospecting to the U.S, not a Communist country like China.

I taught them how to market, brand, advertise, and administer a gold prospecting adventure travel business to Europeans and Americans.

Oh yea Mr. Soloman, they use the money that Walmart and others spend there. That still don't make it right IMO.
However, to each His own.
