Hate to tell you Tim,a cops job is not to protect you,a cops job is to generate revenue.Look it up.Tinpan, hope you have the smarts not to bring fists to a gunfight.Try punching somebody who is holding a gun to you head

Seems that some would rely on other men to protect them with their guns.

No self relience whatsoever and somewhat dishonest in my opinion. You say you don't need a gun but you need a cop to bring his gun.

Try shooting someone that's holding a gun to your head. I hope that you're very fast and very accurate. I can't think of too many people that could pull that off from a cold start.

And his report read. As I was escorting the arrestee down the path back to my unit, the arrestee kept loosing his balance sliding in the mud causing the multiple bruises and contusions about his head and shoulders. While trying to prevent the arrestee from falling and further injuring himself I was holding the handcuff chain. The arrestee fell and exerted enough force to dislocate both shoulders.....

Why do you think a jailer takes their shoes & belt? Took almost 10 years for our department to figure out slippery socks & highly polished floors lead to multiple bruises to the head & head trauma . And BTW the camera doesn't cover the corner by the drunk tank. To prevent cuts & bruises on your knuckles, four rolls of toilet paper on a baton will allow you to turn someone's brain into silly putty & not leave a mark or bruise on either one of you. The things they don't teach in training today........

Dude had gang tattoos and two teardrops (double murderer)
I seriously doubt that this guy has ever killed anyone. Those teardrops mean different things to different people. Probably just means he was someone's gal pal in prison! LOL!

So you can tell someones past just by looking at a photograph? Is this a natural gift or did you consult your LRD?

    Awesome story!

I had a $500 car stereo when I was younger, someone ripped it out and was caught walking down 5th ave with it. I didn't get it back for SIX WHOLE MONTHS because it was the one piece of evidence that made the difference between petty and grand larceny, so they held it onto it until the trial.

So yeah, this guy was bailed out within 24 hours and my car stereo did six months in jail! Shows you how the system works, doesn't it? Me a (semi) law-abiding citizen having to drive around for half a year with wires dangling from a hole in my dashboard because the court system couldn't use a picture of my stereo but rather needed the physical item in their possession. Unreal.

Anyway, that's why I got a chuckle when you said "we get our stuff back next week". You got off easy!

Congrats on catching the guy. Starsky & Hutch rule.
