Yeah. After weeks of daily rain . . . this. And 78% humidity.

"Air you wear" as they say.

We all here feel your pain. I got in the water yesterday following 2 weeks of inhospitable conditions. I'm in this hobby to live! Not to wilt.

OH MY!

And WOW!

Maybe you need to tow along a cooler filled with water, and a couple of ice packs to wear on your head!

Geez, this is continuing to almost be a wasted Summer!

hope you are able to have a good hunt/time. the ground should be soft enough unless the heat hardens it before you can get there LOL. An old man once told me that we go thru various times like this to remind us of what we take for granted and don't even realize it. Git out there and dig it man!

Too hot in Connecticut, I wish it would rain to cool things off.

Honestly ! after the last Month.
I Don't care if I don't see or feel a Drop of Rain, for the next 10 Years !

the stores will have drinking water, So will the local springs.

If not, There would always be the National Guard with water buffalo tanks,
for drink and wash.

I think you should try one of these- from Frogg Toggs, called a chilly pad sports towel and is 33" x 13". Get it wet ring out a little then put around your neck , will keep you really cool for hours, seriously it works have had one for 8 plus years and it just plain works. You will be warm because of the weather but not really HOT. Frogg togs is a brand name for rain suits for motorcycle riders for when they get caught in the rain (you might have heard of them ) while riding. This is like you might get at harbor freight but better made, it really works for all metal detectorists. HH

Jeff, don't worry, it will rain again Wednesday. I'm not awfully far from you. And yes, the humidity was set on 200% today.

Ain't that the truth! I can't remember the last time it rained here, and the normally easy digging has turned to concrete. But no skeeter's! Yet
