Rest of the story? We told a waitress the next day what happened (the rear went down and the hitch went up in the air). With an absolute straight face she looked at me and replied, "So you weren't the only thing up then?"

The Scamp was bought used. It had two jack stands for the rear bumper. I'll bet I (we) are not the first to have this problem. Hmm. TTC
