Agree with kenstein, I also use a pouch from Freeloader and the pinpointer is located right in the front making it easy to grab!

I carry all my stuff in a 2 gallon bucket, the pinpointer has a lanyard to the bucket so I dont leave it behind. All my trash goes in the bucket along with my shovel, probe, pinpointer. Keepers go in my cargo pocket.

I mount mine on my belt in the center of my back, just right of the center belt loop.. Having it on my right side impaired with me swinging the coil, and it was hard for me to reach it with my right hand when mounted on my left side.

I mount my Shovel on my left side using the Lesche T-handle holder and my hand tool and sheath is mounted on the outside of my right knee/leg using the knee pad straps. Not only is it convenient to reach for as I kneel on my right knee retrieving the target, it looks bad-ass.

Belt or just carry it. Detector in one hand, pinpointer in the other.

I typically run that route if I'm just using my small digger. I can carry the small digger and pinpoint in one hand and swing with the other. Its much quicker that way.

Lately Ive been using a bigger shovel, so Im still working on the best way to have the small digger/pinpointer and big shovel one me...its not easy

The reason i asked this was to see if any had it strapped top there legs. I find it very awkward to have it on my right side belt. When i kneel down it is a bit awkward to get it out. and like some have said some times you bump iy with the detector.

I've recently moved my finds pouch to the front and carry there sometimes...but still noticing its a little odd

On my Minelab Explorer SE and II, I use an in-line probe! For all other situations one Garrett Orange carrot and Black II pin Pointers both secured to my finds bag with expandable cords, so not to loose.
