Places to hunt

Where do most of you go to find old locations to hunt in your area, library/web sites? There is a old plantation house with slave shacks that are no longer there but remember them from when I was a kid. The plantation house was restored yrs ago and still there. Thanks

Research old news papers talk to the oldtimers books ect old maps
