What should a lead civil war bullet read on my whites dfx

Minelab xterra, Whites DFX, Notka Makro Simplex. Folks the price don’t mean everything, the question is are you willing to put in the time to learn the machine, experience will pay off I guarantee it.

Just curious where I live it seems is like the moon lucky to find anything of significance, however scan over a bullet yesterday and the bar level went rather high but read in the 50s does that sound correct to all you expects, I believe they are lead so it doesn’t read as in metal would, thanks

On my Whites XLT 58 cal Minnies usually VDI'd around 53- 58-60 ..58 if I recall right.

Different machines = Different #'s

Were Civil War bullets pure lead?
Modern lead billets are an alloy of lead and another harder metal.
