- XP Deus, Nox 800, Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II, Poor ole wore out Fisher 1266 that still finds stuff.

Never worked a site that has such a time span of buttons.
The site is nearly an acre and they were all found within 50 feet of each other near a corner of the site.
The first button is a heavy 1 piece colonial button, 1700's. Soaked in ammonia, alcohol,Navel Jelly, gasoline and hydrogen peroxide and this is what it looks like. Any suggestions on how to clean?
Next one, speaks for itself. 1860's
Button 3 is a 1893 S.C. Coastal Artillery Corp button. They were kind enough to date it.
Button 4 has a Horstmann backmark, it's turn of the century. Maybe WWI ?
Button 5 Is thinner than button 4 and is heavy, has no backmark, I'm guessing from WWII. 1940's
I'm no button expert, if I am correct, that's nearly a 200 year span of history on 1 site.
