And in another vault at West Point is the US supply of raw opium, reportedly 10,000 tons of it. The opium supply is to use to make morphine from in time of extreme war where we might be cut off from any Asian supply. There is a very cool museum at "the Point" and it is well worth visiting this most historic of American forts and the academy grounds which are open to the public.
